ProfitPoint Partners with Frozen Ropes and Hits Stored Value Home Run

FRANKLIN, TENN. (Oct. 16, 2007) - Leading gift and loyalty card provider ProfitPoint Inc. announced today it has signed a long-term agreement with Frozen Ropes, the world leaders in baseball and softball instruction. Frozen Ropes will launch a customized gift card and customer rewards program to win new clients and retain existing ones in a vastly competitive marketplace.

New York-based Frozen Ropes has 40 locations nationwide and has been in business for more than 20 years. Frozen Ropes plans to use the expansive suite of electronic payment processing products and services offered through ProfitPoint for credit and debit card processing, electronic membership cards and gift cards, according to Frozen Ropes License Support Coordinator Amy Ferzoco.

"As a customer signs up for membership at Frozen Ropes, they will receive a membership card," she said. "This card will be used every visit."

"The ProfitPoint software will keep track of who the best customers are," ProfitPoint Vice President/Sales Daniel Battista added. "Each franchise owner will see real-time info - what the customer has spent at a particular location and how they have used the card within the facility. And, Frozen Ropes will encourage more frequent repeat visits to the facility by issuing reward value based on the number of visits and the dollars spent."

Battista said this is one of the latest trends in the rapidly expanding gift card industry: combining gift and loyalty on one card, running alongside the credit card processing software, all in a single point-of-sale device.

To accomplish its objectives relating to the stored value program, Ferzoco noted, "Frozen Ropes needed to bring the various membership systems used within its 40 locations into a uniform system. ProfitPoint was able to meet our unique needs through the application of its technology to our business environment."

Frozen Ropes expects to launch the card program in October. Ferzoco said the company plans to open 15 new facilities per year.
