Is this service mandatory?
Yes, it is. The PCI Standards council, operated by the leading credit card companies of Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover Card, have required since October 1, 2008, that all merchants must be compliant with utilizing PCI DSS compliant credit card processing equipment and software. As a merchant customer of ProfitPoint, you are also required to be compliant with PCI DSS. Failure to do so could result in significant fees and fines being assessed by the credit card organizations.
What is the monthly fee for this service?
The monthly fee is $7.95.
How will I be billed for this service?
ProfitPoint will ACH your account for this fee. If you are currently enrolled in ProfitPoint’s Gift/Loyalty Program, this charge will be included with your monthly program and transaction fee billing. We will begin assessing this fee on January 10, 2010.
What do I need to do to be PCI Compliant?
ProfitPoint has simplified the effort that you must undertake to become compliant. Simply go to: http://rewardforloyalty.com/pci to log in to your merchant account.
What is my login?
Your default user ID is your Merchant Number, found on your monthly statement, and your default password is your business zip code + state code, for example, 19018PA. If you have any trouble logging into the system, please call our customer care at 800-661-0781 option 1 or email us at pcicompliance@profitpointinc.com.

Why am I being asked to complete this questionnaire?
All merchants accepting payment by credit or debit cards are required to comply with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) that are mandated by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card and JCB. This web site provides you the tools you need to achieve compliance with the least amount of time, effort, and expense.
How does it benefit my business?
Compliance with PCI DSS is good business. By understanding the importance of PCI DSS and complying with its requirements you will be in a better position to manage your business in such a way as to prevent the theft of debit and credit card numbers and other sensitive personal data about your customers.
What are the consequences of not filling out the PCI DSS Self Assessment Questionnaire?
All merchants are required to be PCI DSS compliant. Refusal to comply could result in fines or the loss of the ability to accept debit and credit cards at your business.
What resources or documents should I need to have to complete the questionnaire?
You should have a working knowledge of an estimate of your annual revenue through credit card deposits. Secondly, if you process your credit card sales through a computer or internet connection, you should have your network administrator available to assist you answering the questionnaire.
